Well, yesterday, I decided to install Linux on one of my other harddrives and go Dual boot.

I was like, Hey, I've done this before, its a peice of cake, never had problems with it.

I go ahead and install Fedora Core 5 on my Samsung 40 gig, leaving my Maxtor 250 gig for my Windows drive.

I install, load linux, fart around for a bit, then I wanted to go and play some SilkRoad Online (A free MMORPG that I'm addicted too at the moment), so I reboot and go to load Windows.

If you're a windows user, you probably think that the worst thing you can see is a "Blue Screen of Death", well let me tell you, there is a Fate worse then death. And its a three word phrase: "NTLDR is missing"

The Boot loader for linux currupted my C-Drives NTLDR (The file that the Bios on your computer uses to load the NT File system and allows the computer to read the disk), making the disk compleatly unusable.

Or so I though, so I went and downloaded a program from a website ([link]), to see if I can recover the drive, because, and here's the kicker, My C-Drive has ALL MY MUSIC, PHOTOS, ART, VIDEOS, GAMES, DOCUMENTS, BOOKMARKS, SOFTWARE UTILITIES, ANIME DOWNLOADS, AND ANY OTHER CRAP I HAVE COLLECTED OVER THE LAST SIX YEARS, so as you can imagine, I wanted this data back.

So, after farting around with that program for a bit, It didn't work, so I check out the microsoft help site, follow their instructions, and it doesn't work, so I try anything I could for the next 3 hours, and nothing worked, so I said "Fuck it", and I formatted and re-installed windows, had a nice chat with an East Indian guy from Microsoft with one of the thickest accents I've heard in a long time to activate my windows, and here I am, Pissed and Saddened by my loss.

So, if you read this, a hug would be nice, cause I just lost a peice of my soul
