Anime wallpaper artist know what I'm talking about when it comes to scans, but this tutorial works on all images that you want to clean, not just anime images, I just used an anime Character because I had an extracted Scan on hand.

sorry it took such a long time to respond to this, but you can use any scan you want, in theory, this tutorial will work on all images, to a point.
